The Lesser jewel

I would like to show you that a dream house may be for real and you will find it in Prague.

Before I unveil this Lesser Quarter jewel I will talk a little about its exclusive location. Distinguishing  features of the Lesser Quarter are small squares and large and lush gardens. You may take a liking to  Kampa island together with Charles Bridge, for example. Calm atmosphere surrounds the whole district and you feel you are in a world different from the one you have known.

Let us go to Velkopřevorské náměstí where our jewel is located, surrounded by large objects, the French Embassy and multi-coloured Lennon Wall. Daubed with graffiti, the Wall is named after the  singer from the English group The Beatles and represented a symbol of freedom, a place to voice one’s opinions and protests against the Communist regime. At present, Lennon Wall is an attractive tourist destination and everyone visiting it has an opportunity to alter it and leave a message on it in the spirit of love and peace.

Another neighbour that once constituted its integral part is Velkopřevorský Mill powered by water from the stream Čertovka. The Mill has been the subject of legend about devils and brave journeyman Jirka. The Mill is said to have been uninhabited for some time and devils occupied it.

Well, now is the time to go behind the high walls, open the gate and acquaint yourself with it. When you look at this ancient building you are sure to hold your breath.

The garden covers more than 200 square together with garage for three cars. No other property in the vicinity  has such proportions and it is a most unusual object in the centre of Prague.

If you look from the outside you may notice the use of natural wood material around the doors and windows. Wood and beams are used copiously in the interior of the villa and stand in complete contrast with the rooms decorated in lighter colours.

The house dating from the 13^th century has been renovated to satisfy the most demanding client. On three floors there are three bedrooms, four bathrooms, living room, kitchen, gym connected to a small relaxation corner and a smallish wine cellar.

A unique renovated spirit of the property has been created. The rooms are fitted with tasteful and attractive designer furniture and accessories.

‘Beautiful properties should not be sold and if they are, in the right way.’ I have had this as motto for many years and I must say that such a property comes hardly ever onto the property market. This jewel embodying the ideal beauty is still waiting for a new owner.
